Chassis No.: FJ4597574 Auction: The Eddie Vannoy Collection 2020 Auction date: June 30, 2020 Lot No.: V48 $66,000 | Sold • Exterior: Red • Interior: Gray • Body: Pickup • Comprehensive restoration • 4-wheel drive • 4.2L inline 6-cylinder engine • 4-speed manual transmission • Power steering • Power brakes • Upgraded front and rear shocks • Red paint • Beige bed cover • Gray interior • Vinyl floor covering • 160 KPH speedometer • Mickey Thompson Baja MTZ tires The third-generation 40-series Toyota Land Cruiser followed up the 20-series in 1960, and the long-wheelbase FJ-45 was manufactured in hardtop, wagon and pickup configurations before it was succeeded by the 70-series in 1984. The pickup is considered the most desirable of the lineup, and a comprehensive restoration returned this 1976 Toyota FJ-45 to its globe-conquering combination of 4-wheel drive capability and rugged durability. The pickup received its restoration after long service on a Guatemalan coffee plantation and emerged in better-than-new condition with carefully selected and time-proven upgrades. The pickup is powered by the famously durable 4.2L version of the long-running F-series inline 6-cylinder that was factory-rated at 135 HP and 200 lb-ft of torque. The engine bay is finished to exacting factory detail from the front radiator guard to zinc chromate fasteners and faithful decals. Determined power gets 4-wheel drive down to the ground with a 4-speed transmission and dual-range transfer case. Old Man Emu shock absorbers, heavy-duty springs and shackles, and updated late-model axles add 1.5-inches of lift for improved clearance over any surface. Front disc and rear drum brakes join power steering for on- and off-road control. Hella halogen headlamps in the signature surround and twin side mirrors accent white roof and red body paint in timeless style, and a new beige canvas top protects cargo from the elements. Gray door panels and seat upholstery over matching vinyl floor covering add durability and comfort to the rugged cabin. Black seat piping, window cranks, door pulls and shift boots complement gray, and a restored steering wheel sits over a 160 KPH metric speedometer. The all-terrain icon is ready for its next adventure on spilt-rim 16-inch wheels with Mickey Thompson Baja MTZ tires and matching spare under the bed. https://www.mecum.com/lots/410184/1976-toyota-fj-45-land-cruiser-pickup/

Toyota FJ-40 Land Cruiser, 1973
Chassis No.: FJ40147372 Auction: Monterey 2021 Auction date: August 14, 2021 Lot No.: S40 $44,000 | Sold • Exterior: Yellow/White • Interior: Black • Finished in Yellow with White painted hardtop • 350 CI V-8 engine • Edelbrock Performer intake manifold and valve covers • K&N air fliter • 4-barrel carburetor • 4-speed manual transmission • 4-wheel drive with front locking hubs • Power steering • Power brakes • F&R LED fog lamps • Rhino-lined floor boards • Recaro bucket seats • Rear cargo doors • Restoration Frame One of the most popular off-road vehicles ever devised, the Toyota Land Cruiser was largely developed during Japan’s occupation of the Philippines and during the Korean War. Based largely on the Bantam and Willys General Purpose vehicles, known as GPs or Jeeps, the Land Cruiser grew into its own. The third generation was introduced for 1960 and marketed throughout the world as the Toyota Land Cruiser FJ-40, with subsequent models following in quick succession. The durability, robustness, availability and capability made it an instant hit with many people of many walks of life from farmers, merchants and ranchers to off-road enthusiasts, adventure seekers and government workers doing their jobs in the most remote corners of the world. This FJ-40 is finished in yellow with a white-painted hardtop and is extensively customized. Powered by a 350 CI V-8 engine with an Edelbrock Performer intake manifold and valve covers, K&N air filter and a 4-barrel carburetor among other modifications, a 4-speed manual transmission sends power to the rear wheels, unless the 4-wheel drive is engaged. Power steering and power brakes make it easier to maneuver on or off road. Inside, Recaro bucket seats and a center console make for a more comfortable ride, and Rhino-lined flooring ensures easy cleaning and maintenance. A custom steering wheel adds to the look, as does a custom stereo system. F&R LED fog lamps help light the way while rear cargo doors make it easy to load and unload people or gear. Equipped with fold-down seats in the rear, other elements of originality are sprinkled throughout, but enough modern touches have been bestowed upon this FJ-40 that it’s easy to see why the FJ was so popular; not only was it a fabulous workhorse, but it was easily modified and modernized. https://www.mecum.com/lots/465339/1973-toyota-fj-40-land-cruiser/
