2027 Forester Gets a Major Shake-Up
The 2027 Subaru Forester enters the new model year with mostly unchanged pricing, but the lineup itself is getting a significant reshuffle. The gas-only range now includes just Base, Premium, Wilderness, and Limited trims, with the Sport, Sport Onyx Edition, and Touring dropped. Meanwhile, the hybrid range expands with the new Forester Wilderness Hybrid, Subaru’s first hybrid Wilderness model. The gas-only Forester starts at $31,470, while the Premium Hybrid remains at $36,205. Hybrid models use a 2.5-liter boxer engine, electric motors, and a lithium-ion battery to produce 194 horsepower. The new Wilderness Hybrid starts at $41,970, or $1,000 more than the gas-powered Wilderness. Some prices do rise: the Limited reaches $39,070, while the Wilderness climbs to $40,970. Both Wilderness versions also gain previously optional features as standard, including a Harman/Kardon audio system, power liftgate, 12.3-inch digital gauges, and navigation.
