While its finished products are stunning to look at and lavishly hand-built and trimmed to virtual perfection, the company is also steadfastly committed to race-inspired performance, proven in 2020 when professional racing driver Randy Pobst achieved a 1:30.99 lap time with one of Gunther Werks’ cars at WeatherTech Raceway at Laguna Seca, California—as fast as a McLaren P1. Known as “Blue Phoenix,” this awesome 1995 Porsche 911 Speedster is one of only 25 Speedster conversions remastered by Gunther Werks. Offered with just 120 miles since build completion, the car was disassembled and rebuilt with extensive carbon fiber bodywork, an upgraded suspension and a beautifully trimmed bespoke interior. The 4.0L flat 6-cylinder engine was developed by Rothsport Racing in Oregon. Technical highlights include a custom crankshaft and connecting rods, cylinder barrels, and Mahle pistons, plus individual throttle bodies, coil-over-plug ignition, and a twin-map Motec ECU. Rated at 430 HP and 330 lb-ft of torque with a 7,800 RPM redline, this potent mill’s power and performance are delivered by a custom Getrag G50 6-speed manual gearbox and mechanical 40% locking limited-slip differential with carbon clutches. Underpinnings include custom JRZ RS Pro coilovers with remote reservoirs and Brembo 4-wheel disc brakes with red calipers and slotted rotors, mounted behind the forged aluminum three-piece wheels. The passenger compartment features an integrated roll hoop underneath the rear tonneau, plus thoughtful storage compartments with fitted luggage under each side of the tonneau headrests. In addition to lightweight carbon fiber bucket seats, luxurious features abound, including carbon fiber sill plates with “Blue Phoenix” lettering, a carbon fiber dashboard, a leather-wrapped carbon fiber steering wheel with orange 12 o’clock stripe, lightweight RS-style interior door pulls, and a Porsche Classic Apple CarPlay radio. Other choice highlights include a front nose lift system as well as brilliant custom projector headlights made from forged T-6061 aluminium components and carbon fiber, with Bi-LED projectors and active daytime running lights. A recently completed service and inspection by Gunther Werks included the installation of a new battery. Stunning in every possible respect and built, or more correctly, “remastered” by Gunther Werks, this 1995 Porsche 911 Speedster exemplifies everything great about Porsche’s final air-cooled series. https://www.mecum.com/lots/1174211/1995-porsche-911-speedster-by-gunther-werks
Chassis No.: WP0AC2997TS375658 • Engine: Other • Transmission: Manual • Exterior: Guards Red • Interior: Black • Body: Coupe • The 993 generation 911 Turbo was the last air-cooled 911 and the first to feature all-wheel drive combined with a turbocharged engine • Twin-turbocharged 3.6L flat 6-cylinder engine rated at 400 HP and 398 lb-ft of torque • Bosch Motronic fuel injection system • 6-speed manual gearbox • 18-inch hollow-spoke “Turbo Twist” alloy wheels • Guards Red exterior • Fixed “Whale Tail” rear spoiler • Power-operated sunroof • Black supple leather interior • Heated front seats • Digital Sound Package A milestone of engineering, the 993 generation of the Porsche 911 Turbo was the first 911 to incorporate all-wheel drive into the turbocharged model using the technology adopted from the legendary Porsche 959. It was also the last air-cooled 911, and the first model to use twin turbochargers and twin intercoolers—two KKK K16 turbos—for faster spool-up and virtual elimination of turbo lag. This Guards Red 1996 Porsche 911 Turbo is from that generation. The 3.6L flat-6 engine produces 408 HP using the Bosch Motronic 5.2 Engine Management System, which integrates sequential fuel injection, dual ignition and self-adapting mapping for engine reliability, cold start enrichment and idle control. The 993 is undeniably fast, with a 0-60 elapsed time in 3.8 seconds and a top speed approaching 184 MPH. However, beyond the performance metrics is the seamless way the power is delivered: The twin turbos deliver massive amounts of torque at low RPM—332 lb-ft at just 2,500 RPM—and the car just progressively develops speed thereafter. The all-wheel drive selectively apportions power to each of the four wheels, offering tenacious grip and driver control confidence. The Guards Red exterior features wide arch fender flares, sculptured lower rocker panels, a full set of 18-inch hollow spoke “turbo twist” alloy wheels, Porsche center caps with hand painted crests and a fixed “whale tail” rear spoiler. The interior is draped in black supple full leather with air conditioning, power windows, power door locks, power mirrors, a power-operated sunroof, heated front seats and a digital sound package. This 911 is regarded by many knowledgeable enthusiasts as the ultimate iteration of the Porsche Turbo lineage—don’t let this example speed away. https://www.mecum.com/lots/1175453/1996-porsche-911-turbo-coupe

Powered by a naturally aspirated flat-6 engine developing a factory-rated 282 HP with Porsche’s innovative VarioRam intake system and paired with a simpler and lighter version of Porsche’s all-wheel drive system, the Carrera 4S shared its wide rear fenders, bumpers, huge red-painted 4-piston brake calipers, 18-inch Turbo-look alloy wheels and ultra-low-profile tires with the 911 Turbo. Many published road tests documented the electrifying performance of the Carrera 4S, with published tests citing 0-60 MPH acceleration in 5.2 seconds and 0-100 MPH in 13.2 seconds. Just 6,948 examples of the C4S were produced for the 1996-98 model years. Heightening desirability and collector interest, the 993-generation Porsche 911 was the last to feature an air-cooled engine. Benefiting from a recent partial restoration at a cost of $17,150, this Carrera 4S Coupe is powered by a 3.6L SOHC flat 6-cylinder engine rated at 282 HP and 250 lb-ft of torque and mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox, all-wheel drive and a limited-slip differential. Finished in Polar Silver with a black leather interior, the Porsche is highly equipped with a power sunroof, updated front and rear stabilizer bars, and reupholstered power height-adjustable front seats. Mechanical service includes refinished top-side engine components, recharged air conditioning and replacement of the cabin air filter, installation of a new battery, refinished brake calipers and new brake fluid for the ABS-5 antilock braking system. Other work includes installation of new front hood struts, a new alternator, an oil and filter change, installation of Bosch FR-LDC spark plugs, bleeding of clutch hydraulics, new belts and replated undercarriage hardware. Mechanical highlights include self-adjusting hydraulic valve lifters and the DME engine management system with dual knock sensors and OBD-II diagnostics. The paint was touched up as required and exterior highlights include fog lights, an automatic rear spoiler, power headlight washers, power steering and remote central locking with alarm, LED warning light and remote. Further highlights include an AM/FM/cassette stereo with six speakers and a remote CD changer, power-adjustable heated side mirrors, power windows, fold-down rear seats, front airbags, three-point seatbelts, analog gauges with warning lights, and a 19.4-gallon polymer fuel tank. Riding on a set of Turbo-design wheels wrapped in new Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 tires, this highly sought-after modern Porsche performer comes with a tool kit and a spare-tire inflator. https://www.mecum.com/lots/1150248/1996-porsche-911-carrera-4s-coupe/
