Kenseth was the 2003 Winston Cup Champion, and according to former NASCAR crew chief and former general manager of Roush Fenway Keselowski Racing Robbie Reiser, this chassis became the backup road course chassis for the 2003 season after a 33rd-place finish in the 2002 Sirius Satellite Radio NASCAR Cup Series race at Watkins Glen. It’s considered to be among the best examples of Kenseth’s cars from the winning season. The car hosts its Roush Racing 358 CI Ford V-8 engine with a Moroso distributor, Roush Race Proven ND160 alternator, and Stant high-performance radiator cap, backed by a 4-speed manual transmission.
