Summit Racing™ split lock bolt kits put a new twist on the theory of mechanical locking fasteners. These innovative bolts use a locking set pin built into the bolt itself—and when tightened, the set pin expands the bolt threads against the thread wall. This, in turn, provides a locking system without having to use any additional wires, locking compounds, or lock washers. To remove the split lock bolts, simply loosen the set pin and back out the fastener.
