My little Volkswagen up! is my smart secret for easy city driving. Its best feature? I can park anywhere – those tiny spots at Dubai Mall or Marina Mall are no problem at all. It's perfectly fine for driving on Sheikh Zayed Road for my daily trips, and the tiny 1.0L engine is amazingly cheap to run. Sure, it's a small car, so you notice big trucks passing by, and the manual gearbox isn't ideal in heavy traffic. But the AC is powerful enough for the small cabin. Nobody sees this car as a status symbol. Instead, people smile because it's so cute and unusual here. It's not for a family or for highway adventures, but for any young person looking for a budget-friendly, fun, and incredibly easy car to navigate the city, the up! is absolutely perfect.
