Volvo introduced the 144 type in 1966 as a successor to the ever popular 120 model. Volvo is reported to have redesigned every part of this car, compared to its predecessor. The “Volvo language” behind the model 144 is designation for: 1-first series, 4- four-cylinder, 4- four-door car. Unlike the previous models, the 144 had straighter lines, and the safety was improved with energy crumple zones and four-wheel disc brakes.

This Volvo is powered by a 1.8-liter inline four-cylinder engine that is fueled by a dual carburetor setup powering the car to an estimated 90-hp. The exterior of the car is finished in white and the interior is wearing blue upholstery on the front bucket seats and the rear bench seat. This is said to be a very original example according to the current owner.
