A beautifully restored and expertly uprated Mini Tahiti, delivering period charm with genuine performance pedigree.
First registered on 21/01/1994 and offered here following an extensive, no-expense-spared restoration and sympathetic performance enhancement programme totalling some £22,000 completed some years ago with little use since. Professionally rebuilt and enlarged MED Racing Works A-Series engine, increased from 1,275cc to 1,380cc at maximum bore, with new camshaft, valves and rockers, balanced crankshaft, rods, pistons and flywheel, producing an estimated 110bhp - remarkable performance in such a lightweight and engaging platform.
Comprehensive mechanical rebuild also included a reconditioned and balanced gearbox with Borg & Beck clutch, Weber 40 DCOE carburettor and ported manifold, uprated fuel system, oil pump, cooling components and refreshed suspension throughout. Striking visual presentation, refinished to an exceptional standard in Brilliant White with bespoke detailing, flared arches, custom valances, clear rear lenses and distinctive anthracite deep-dish Superlite alloy wheels, complemented by a dramatic Union Jack roof motif.
Interior restored to an equally high standard, featuring a walnut dashboard, Cooper three-spoke leather steering wheel, smart two-tone black and grey seating, replacement dial faces and quality trim throughout, creating a purposeful yet refined cabin environment. Accompanied by an impressive and comprehensive history file, documenting restoration works, mechanical upgrades and ongoing maintenance, offering reassurance as to the quality and extent of investment. Carefully dry-stored and sparingly used since completion, with the MOT history supporting minimal mileage in recent years and presenting today in superb cosmetic order.
