The Rolls-Royce Silver Spirit III and Silver Spur III were introduced in 1993, featuring engine improvements and some cosmetic updates over the earlier models; the Silver Spur being the longer wheelbase version, of the Silver Spirit, by four inches. Power was increased, whilst the semi-active suspension systems were modified so that shock absorbers would default into 'soft' ride mode when they wore out (rather than 'hard' in the previous Mk. II, noticeably impacting ride quality). Dual airbags were introduced inside, along with independent adjustment of the rear seats.

The coachwork had been designed at the in-house styling centre by Fritz Feller, the styling being more modern than that of its predecessor. The interior was dominated by the expected combination of fine wood and leather. It was also the first Rolls-Royce to be fitted with a retractable Spirit of Ecstasy.

This lovely Rolls-Royce Silver Spur III was supplied new in January 1994, with a very high specification, giving all the creature comforts for the passengers in the rear compartment. These include television screens in the rear of the front headrests to view the films played on the VHS video player, a multi disc CD player mounted in the boot, rear picnic tables and a telephone in the rear arm rest, which we are informed is still working because of a pre-payment card. According to the MoT history, this four-owner car has only completed 1500 miles since 2011. The current owner has driven about 900 miles since he purchased it in 2019.

Whilst in his ownership, he has had the car looked after by marque specialists Royce Engineering who have carried out a service which included; replacing the spark plugs, fitted a new air conditioning drier, a new belt and re-gassing the air conditioning system, new exhaust silencer, supplied and fitted new electric seat modules and a new radio, the correct type, with a removable fascia. Other work he has carried out has included fitting four new Avon R.R. Turbo Steel tyres. He recently had a new battery fitted with new cut off switch and had a new alarm E.C.U module supplied and fitted with new alarm/door locking remotes.

Finished in Royal Blue with Parchment leather interior complemented with a blue leather dash top, blue carpets and Maple veneered woodwork, this Silver Spur III is supplied with a V5C registration document, an MoT test certificate which expires in June 2023 and a file containing invoices and old MoT test certificates.
