Released in 2009 for the 2010 model year, Porsche’s new Panamera formed the company’s fourth distinct model line alongside the 911, Boxster/Cayman and Cayenne. A Cayenne-derived yet lighter and beefier V-8 engine delivered power with lower placement in the sleek four-door Panamera body, which was a clear stylistic homage to the evergreen 911 series. Most notably a four-door-only series, the Panamera is essentially a high-performance Sports/GT car with comfortable accommodations for up to four adults inside a purposeful yet exceptionally luxurious and comfortable passenger cabin including a useful rear-seat center console.
The Panamera S, 4S and Turbo models—all featuring V-8 powerplants—were the first versions that debuted in 2009. For its part, the Panamera Turbo is a true modern supercar capable of hitting 188 MPH at full chat. Delivering the security of all-wheel drive and the massive performance of a 4.8L/500 HP twin-turbocharged V-8 engine, this 2012 Porsche Panamera Turbo also features the renowned 7-speed PDK automatic transmission.
