A one owner Porsche 911 Carrera GTS Convertible with a 7-speed manual gearbox and a completely known history from new. Introduced in November 2014 at the Los Angeles Motor Show, the 991 Carrera GTS sat between the Carrera S and GT3 and was the last of the normally aspirated, 3.8-engined cars available with a manual gearbox.
Standard specification included a power output of 430PS (424bhp), Sport Chrono Package, Sport Exhaust system, dynamic engine mounts, 10mm lowered suspension, Porsche Torque Vectoring (PTV) system, LED daytime running lights with Porsche Dynamic Lighting System (PDLS), Sport Design front spoiler, Sport Design side-mirrors and 20" centre-lock wheels. 0-60mph is dispatched in 3.8 seconds with the help of Launch Control. This particular UK-car was purchased new by Iconic Auctioneers Chairman, Nick Whale, from his former dealership, Porsche Centre Solihull, in March 2015 and has been fully maintained by them ever since.
Today, it retains all the original panels and all the original paintwork from new. It presents superbly in gleaming Guards Red with black leather upholstery, a carbon finish dash and interior and a black electric hood. Further options specified by Nick include a red rev-counter, cruise-control, electric sports seats with memory, SatNav with telephone and silver sports centre-lock wheels. Being a rare 7-speed manual and also one of the last normally-aspirated 911s ever made, the car looks and drives superbly and has been a joy to own. It both looks and sounds like a 911 should and is 'probably the best car I have ever owned' said Nick recently.
He also knows that the car has never sustained any accident damage or paint rectification of any kind from new and has benefited from indoor winter storage, film protection covering the nose and proper main dealer maintenance throughout. The car is on its third set of correct Pirelli tyres with a recent Porsche dealer wheel alignment and geometry check. One of only five C16 UK 991. Convertible. manual GTS models ever imported by Porsche GB, it. has covered a warranted 38,100 miles from new.
