This car was imported in 2016, then dismantled to start the rebuild process, and only registered with the DVLA when almost complete. The vendor, a Porsche fanatic wanted to create his own take on a S/T inspired Restomod 911. Following his vision, Stuttgart Classica stripped the car and completed body modifications. Riviera Autobody reworked the rear wheelarches and carried out the panel first fit, while 13 Stitches completely retrimmed the interior, including dashboard, seats, carpet, headlining and door cards.
The engine is a 2.4-litre unit and the gearbox a low-mileage Type 901. The engine underwent a top-end rebuild in February 2024. The original wiring loom was retained but with an updated fuse box. Torsion bars have been deleted and new independent rear suspension fitted, the latter enabling the installation of a Type 964/993 engine and gearbox should the new owner wish to go down that route. On file are numerous photographs of the build process. There has been exceptional attention to detail put into this restoration by our vendor, including a faux and reworked oil side filler, to the functional fuel filler to the bonnet. Fitted with more modern style Restomod headlights and a 'correct' orange style Porsche crest.
The restoration was only completed in June 2023 and the chassis, body, paintwork and interior are described by our vendor as in excellent condition. Interested parties should note that the UK private registration number is being retained by the seller, and the car will be sold with a UK V5C. The period registration number KGV 936N has been applied for.
