Based on the 911 S, the Carrera RS was conceived to allow Porsche to compete in the FIA’s newly created race series for production cars. Recognisable for its “ducktail” rear spoiler, the model remains among the most revered in Stuttgart history.
Completed in May 1973, chassis number 1272 offered here was delivered new to Germany finished in Grand Prix White. The exterior was accented by Red side stripes and matching-colour wheels over a black leatherette interior. Equipped from the factory with driver and passenger headrests, this Porsche was importantly configured with the “M472” option code to denote that it is one of just 1,308 Touring examples that offered a dose of civility to the homologation special.
Sold originally in Düsseldorf, the Carrera RS 2.7 Touring was retained by its first owner all the way through to 2002. It was then sold to Belgium for a 10-year stint with a second keeper prior to being acquired by the vendor in May 2013.
Furthermore, following a December 2025 inspection carried out by Porsche authority Mark Waring of Rennsport Classics, the 911 is noted for its overall original and very good condition. It is remarked that the car might once have been used for light competition but otherwise presents well. The chassis plate and stamped chassis number were judged to be authentic. The report summarises that while the correct engine type number and serial number are visible, they are not the original stampings. It is likely that the crankcase halves are replacement aluminium items manufactured in 1987 and have been restamped. The report is available to read in full in the history file.
Presented in its factory colours and boasting a short chain of just three owners from new, this Carrera RS 2.7 Touring awaits its next adoring custodian. It is further supplied with a tool roll, spare wheel, and

Basée sur la 911 S, la Carrera RS a été conçue pour permettre à Porsche de participer à la nouvelle catégorie de course créée par la FIA pour les voitures de série. Reconnaissable à son becquet arrière en "queue de canard", ce modèle fait partie des plus admirés de l'histoire de la marque.
Terminée en mai 1973, la voiture portant le numéro de châssis 1272 et proposée ici a été livrée neuve en Allemagne dans la teinte blanc Grand Prix. La carrosserie était réhaussée par des bandes rouges et des jantes de la même couleur, l'intérieur étant en simili noir. Équipée d'origine d'appuie-tête conducteur et passager, cette Porsche a été configurée avec l'option "M472" et fait donc partie des 1 308 exemplaires de la version Touring qui offrait un peu de confort à cette spéciale d'homologation.
Vendue initialement à Düsseldorf, cette Carrera RS 2.7 Touring est restée chez son premier propriétaire jusqu'en 2002. Elle a été ensuite vendue en Belgique à un deuxième propriétaire qui l'a gardée dix ans, avant d'être achetée en mai 2013 par le vendeur actuel.
Par ailleurs, une inspection effectuée en décembre 2025 par Mark Waring, expert Porsche de Rennsport Classics, souligne que cette 911 est dans l'ensemble en très bon état d'origine. Il indique aussi qu'elle a peut-être été utilisée une fois en compétition amateur mais offre néanmoins une belle présentation. Le rapport considère la plaque de châssis et le numéro de châssis frappé sur le châssis comme authentiques. Il précise que, si les numéros corrects de type et de série du moteur sont visibles, ils ne correspondent pas aux frappes d'origine. Il est probable que les demi-carters de vilebrequin soient des pièces de remplacement en aluminium, fabriquées en 1987, et qu'elles ont té refrappées. Présentée dans ses couleurs d'origine et n'ayant connu que trois propriétaires depuis sa sortie d'usine, cette Carrera RS 2.7 Touring n'attend qu'un prochain acheteur passionné. Elle est en outre vendue avec une trousse à outils, une roue de secours et un "Pflegepass".
