Shortly before the dissolution of the Pontiac brand, General Motors imported many Holden Commodore sedans from Australia and rebadged them as Pontiac G8s. The G8 was based on GM’s Zeta Platform, and was Pontiac’s last true high-powered full-size vehicle. Part of the Marty Nelson Collection, this 2008 G8 is a rare official Pace Car built for the Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car series and the Rolex 24 at Daytona. Powered by a 6.0L V-8 engine mated to an automatic transmission, this G8 shows less than 4,000 miles on the odometer. Several upgrades made to the suspension and engine as well as working strobe lights conspicuously display this car’s racing background.
The car is highly documented with paperwork as well as an official Certificate of Authenticity. This G8 Pace Car represents a true piece of automotive history as one of the final performance vehicles produced by Pontiac.
