This 1967 Pontiac Firebird is known as 'The Essence of 1967.' Powered by a 450hp LS engine with a Typhoon manifold, headers and custom programming, paired with a 4L65E automatic transmission and a Strange Ford 9-inch rear end. It's equipped with a side exhaust molded into the underside, smoothed engine compartment and coil packs relocated behind the firewall. Built in 2010 by Maurer Hot Rods of Fairbury, IL, and the chrome plating by Advanced Plating in Nashville, TN. This car is riding on Moser 33-spline axles, a modified Heidts Pro-G subframe, 4-link molded into the unibody and Air Ride Shockwave suspension. Stopping power is provided by Wilwood brakes.

Finished in two-tone PPG Copper and GM Cashmere, the exterior features filled, the side rocker panels were lowered 2.5 inches, smoothed cowl vents, a sculpted rear spoiler and a custom stainless grille. The interior features a custom-fabricated dash, console and seats. It is sitting on staggered 18- and 20-inch Intro wheels wrapped in Nitto tires. This Firebird is a multiple award-winner, including ISCA and Goodguys.
