One of just 2,000 limited edition Cooper S JCW GP models and highly collectible.
In total, just 2,000 examples of the first generation Cooper S JCW GP were produced for the international market, with this car being marked as number 1,509 of that limited global production run and one of only 437 examples supplied to the UK. Produced as a focussed and lighter version of the peppy and enjoyable Cooper S, the John Cooper Works GP did away with the standard car’s rear seats in favour of a substantial brace bar, helping to reduce its weight by approximately 50kg. Powered by its 1.6-litre supercharged four-cylinder engine, delivering 218bhp to the front wheels through a 6-speed manual gearbox and a retrofitted limited-slip differential.
Presenting in A64M Thunder Blue with a Gravity Black leather interior, Chilli Red mirror cappings and white indicators. Options over the standard car included restyled front and rear aprons, side skirts, a full rear wing and lightweight 18" alloys. Supplied with its original book pack including the handbook, stamped service book, various supplements along with numerous receipts and old MOTs.
