This is one of 7,719 built in 1953. It is an original Woody restored by legendary wagon master David Doyle. This car was restored to high standards. Since the car was completed, it has appeared in two concours events and won Best in Class on both occasions. Mr. Doyle started with a clean, rust-free car from a long-term owner and set out on a comprehensive restoration. The car is presented in an original Mercury color of India Black but was born green. The interior is presented in red and white. All the folding seat mechanisms are correct and fully functional. All the gauges work and are restored to the same standards as the rest of the car.
This car is loaded with options, including front bumper guards, rear back-up lights, rear sliding glass windows, windshield washer, variable speed wipers, clock and AM radio. The car comes with original dealership books and sales order manuals and original manuals, including the radio and heating system user guides, as well as the original owner's service certificate and warranty policy, all in the name of the first owner.
