This museum-quality Mercury Eight Convertible is all-original and has zero rust. It has 60,000 original miles, (title reads mileage exempt). This is the last and best year of this classic body style. It was originally called a Mercury 76 model but most commonly called the Mercury 8. It features the original Flathead 8-cylinder engine and 3-speed manual transmission with a new clutch recently installed. The body is 100% solid and original. The floors and trunk pan are also solid and 100% original. There is no Bondo and the paint shows just the correct amount of patina. A close look at the dashboard and glovebox area show how nice and original this convertible really is.

This Mercury was sold new in Nevada and has always been garaged and has never had any rust or deterioration. Previous owner was a well-known collector who bought it in the '60s and had it on display in his climate-controlled private collection.
