One of only 24 produced for the U.S. market out of a reported total of 40 cars worldwide, this 2021 P One Edition from the Michael Fux Collection is distinguished by its unique Cirrus Silver and Obsidian Black livery inspired by the Mercedes-AMG Motorsport F1 W10 Formula 1 racer, incorporating the famed three-pointed star logo in a hand-painted pattern progressing from the doors to the rear of the car. Turquoise Green foiled accents inside and out pay homage to the longstanding partnership between Mercedes-Benz and primary sponsor Petronas.
The P One Edition benefits from years of Mercedes-Benz AMG GT and F1 racing technology to take driving dynamics to their most extreme, a fact best demonstrated in its formidable M178 twin-turbocharged 4.0L V-8 engine. Developed exclusively for the GT Black Series, it drives a thundering 720 HP and 590 lb-ft of torque through an AMG Speedshift dual-clutch automatic transmission to an AMG limited-slip differential via a carbon fiber torque tube. An intricate matrix of AMG-designed engine, suspension, ride control, braking and aerodynamic controls interacts to maximize the M178’s colossal output, beginning with dry sump oiling, performance exhaust and dynamic engine and transmission mounts.
AMG Dynamic Select enables a choice of five different driving modes with adjustments to the car’s AMG forged dual wishbone coilover suspension with AMG Ride Control adaptive adjustable damping. AMG’s own high-performance ceramic composite disc brakes balance the P One Edition’s race-bred performance with breathtaking stopping power. Exclusive black Napa leather and Dinamica microfiber dominate the interior, along with AMG matte carbon fiber interior trim and Turquoise Green stitching and accents.
