This 2005 Lotus Elise is powered by a 2ZZ-GE 1.8 liter 4-cylinder 16-valve engine with Variable Valve Timing and 6-speed manual transmission. It is painted a beautiful metallic red and has a removable roof panel. The driver can choose between the painted solid roof panel, a soft-top or no top at all. The mid-engine design gives a proper weight balance from front to rear, and it has an aggressive stance with body side vents for the engine compartment. The Elise is constructed around a strong, rigid, yet lightweight extruded and bonded aluminum chassis, classified as an aluminum monocoque tub.

The aluminum underbody is completely flat for aerodynamics to maintain laminar flow of air underneath to minimize lift and drag. The car is upgraded with a Lotus Stage 2 exhaust system and comes factory-equipped with air conditioning, power steering and power brakes, power windows and power locks, and a factory radio, and rolls on 16 and 17-inch Lotus alloy wheels. Seller states the Cobra alarm system was disabled and a red blinking light may appear at the top center of the RPM gauge as well as the air conditioning may be low on freon. This one-owner sports car has 19,920 actual miles.
