THE LINCOLN CONTINENTAL COACH DOOR EDITION
Introduced in 2019 to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the top-shelf Continental marque, the Lincoln Continental Coach Door Edition was produced in just 80 examples for the first production year, and it is believed that the 2020 production-year was equally limited in production numbers. According to Car and Driver Magazine, all 80 examples of the 2019 release sold withing 48 hours.
Based on Lincoln's top-of-the-line Black Label Continental, the Coach Door Edition is the only current car not wearing a Rolls-Royce badge to have center-opening doors. Both front and rear doors open 90 degrees and have a soft-closure feature. A proper, traditional coach built car, the Coach Door Edition Continental had the bodywork stretched 6 inches and fitted with the characteristic center-opening door configuration by Cabot Coach Builders. These limited-edition luxury limousines received the very best in creature comforts and optional extras, and rivals the most exotic luxury car manufacturers current products, at a much more sensible price point.
THE MOTORCAR OFFERED
This spectacular, nearly new example of the rare Coach Door Edition Continental was manufactured and shipped to the selling dealer during the Summer of 2020. According to the original Window Sticker on file, this highly luxurious and comfortable Lincoln Continental was finished new as it appears today, as a top-of-the-line Black Label Continental, equipped with the Coach Door package by Cabot Coach Builders, which included fully redesigning the bodywork with center-opening coach doors and a 6 inch stretch of the wheelbase.
Further optional extras included Lincoln illuminated rear-door sills, secured pass-through storage compartment, dual rear-door umbrella holders, and a flow through rear console featuring ice bucket, hard-trim cushion table, audio and climate controls, wireless charging pad and dual tablets, bringing the MSRP to $120,715.00. The exterior was finished in Infinite Black Metallic, while the interior was beautifully trimmed in Alpine Venetian leather.
Featuring next-level luxury, comfort and driving characteristics, this Continental Coach Door Edition is essentially in new condition with less than 150 miles recorded on the odometer and should offer the next owner excellent bang for the buck in this segment of limousine motorcars.
