This 1948 Lincoln Continental convertible is powered by a 292ci V12 flathead engine paired with a column-shifted 3-speed manual transmission with overdrive. This Lincoln was displayed in the Ford Flathead Museum in Bigfork, MT, from 1991 through 2024 and originally came from a ranch in eastern Montana. It is one of 452 Lincoln Continental convertibles built in 1948. The 1948 model year marked the last year of the first-generation Continental and the final production Lincoln to be powered by a V12 engine. The exterior is finished in red with a white convertible top over a blue interior.
Exterior features include push-button door handles, quarter-panel stone guards, rear fender skirts, dual side mirrors, chrome bumpers with overriders and a rear-mounted spare-tire carrier. The interior is equipped with power windows, a power top and an AM radio. This Lincoln rides on 15-inch steel wheels with wide whitewall tires. All fluids were changed and systems serviced prior to the auction.
