Produced between 1971 and 1985, the Series III is an iconic Land Rover that helped pull the company through a turbulent period in UK economic history. Essentially a facelift of the popular Series II, the Series III offered improvements over its predecessor such as a modernised interior and a synchromesh gearbox. Series Land Rovers have also been popular vehicles with the British Military, and the Series III is no exception to this serving from the 1970s right through to the 1990s. This Khaki Green example is a former RAF vehicle, and has been re-imported to the UK from Holland by the vendor. If you look closely you can see the original RAF colour is still visible in some places.

Overall, the interior is aged and tatty and could require further attention. There is little history with the car but the 2286cc diesel engine starts and runs well, and the running gear and brakes are in good condition. The suspension is also of sound condition. Overall the car presents well and has been partly restored, but still offers scope for improvement if desired.
