The Blu Laufey exterior is highlighted by Arancio Xanto and features a number of aerodynamic aids to direct airflow, helping to keep the exceedingly fast car on the ground, much like a race car. The Huracan Super Trofeo Omologata is a remarkably unique automobile for Lamborghini as it is the culmination of Lamborghini’s motorsports knowledge and overall heritage in one package.
It’s a race car for the streets—hence the Omologata, or homologation, in the name. It’s a street car that is a fraction of an inch from being a true race car. To achieve the various dynamics of a race car, about three quarters of the car is constructed of carbon fiber to help save weight and add strength. To keep the car on the ground, a host of aerodynamic components were installed and the chassis was heavily reengineered from the base model Huracan. The V-10 is the quickest-revving, highest-performing made by the company so far—so much so that magazines have tested the car showing 0-60 MPH times in the 2.5-second range.
They’ve found 100 MPH in a scant 6 seconds and 150 MPH in 15 seconds, and the top speed is said to be just shy of 200 MPH.
