The Lamborghini Huracan replaced the Gallardo in December 2013 when it was introduced to the world through an online debut. Just a few months later, it appeared for an in-person introduction at the Geneva Auto Salon, where its smooth surfaces and crisp edges caused quite a stir. Through the years, the Huracan has proven its salt as a worthy successor to the Gallardo and a fine addition to the Lamborghini family, garnering an exceptional number of sales and even enticing younger buyers. However, knowing there was more to be had from the Huracan formula, Lamborghini reengineered the car by finding better airflow through the engine, which provided 29 more HP.
The company remapped the transmission, making the shifts quicker than a blink, and rethought the aerodynamics, allowing air to slip more easily over and around the car and be used as downforce to keep the car on the road. And to achieve a lighter curb weight, Lamborghini used new proprietary Forged Composites and a simplified exhaust system. The results were astonishing with 0-60 MPH times under 3 seconds and quarter-mile times in just a tick over 10 seconds at nearly 140 MPH. This 2019 Lamborghini Huracan Performante Spyder presents like new, having covered only 196 miles.
Ordered new through the Ad Personum Customization Program, the Huracan Performante is finished in the unique Grigio Telesto color. A black lower section complements the black Narvi 20-inch forged alloy wheels, while the lower edges of the doors feature red, white and green stripes. At various places, the Lamborghini Forged Composites—darkly colored components that resemble black marble—are very apparent. The Nero Cosmus interior is absolutely awash with it; the Alcantara slightly tempers the hard image, and red contrast stitching highlights the overall look.
Fitted with automatically deploying roll bars and a power-operated convertible top, the car also hosts navigation, the style package, the laser engraved package, various elements of dark chrome, the Sensorum sound system, front lift system, full LED headlights and tail lights, and much more. Powered by the 5.2L/630 HP V-10 engine and LDS 7-speed dual clutch automatic transmission, electronically controlled continually variable intake and exhaust valve timing help make use of every ounce of horsepower available.
Keeping the Huracan on the road is an all-wheel drive system, ESC system, dynamic power steering, front and rear double-wishbone suspension and carbon ceramic ABS brakes with red calipers. To be sold with a car cover and books, this Huracan Performante Spyder will also come with an Automobili Lamborghini hat, keychain and coffee mug.
