German title - Rare Series 1, Italian origin - Complete history and exceptional file - Equipped with its original engine - Very elegant original Oro Metallizzato color - No reserve Building on the success of the Miura, Lamborghini tackled a new challenge - to produce a four-seater "supercar" that would combine sportiness and roominess.

The first signal of this intent appeared at the 1967 edition of the Geneva Motor Show with the Marzal, the work of Marcello Gandini, a recent recruit at Bertone. At the Geneva Motor Show of 1968, Lamborghini unveiled the Espada, signed by the same designer. The car boasted a very impressive performance, thanks to the extraordinary 3.9L V12 that the car shared with the Miura. As confirmed with the factory documents, this Series 1 was delivered new by the Lambocar agent in Milan on October 8, 1969, in an exceptional and rare colour: Oro Metallizzato with black leather interior.

A year later, it was sent to California and registered on February 11, 1971, in the name of Mr Perla, based in Los Angeles, with California license plate "Perla 1"! He kept his Espada for 38 years. Before it was sold in Germany in 2009, the engine and gearbox was overhauled by marque specialist Claudio Zampoli. When the car arrived in Germany in early 2010 in the collection of an enthusiast of the brand that we know well (we had sold his Miura SV in 2017), it was repainted, still in its original colour. A photo taken before the work shows that it has never lost its original colour.

In 2015, this Espada was acquired by the current owner who sent it to the Dutch specialist in Italian cars, Mugello Engineering. It was serviced there (the invoices are in the file). Its mileage is just over 61,000 km, which undoubtedly corresponds to what it has covered since leaving the factory. Between its extremely rare color, its condition, the fact that it belonged to the same owner for nearly 40 years and its very substantial file that accompanies it, this Espada series 1 is the opportunity to acquire one of the most beautiful cars of all times.
