Showing 3,513 miles since new, this Bandit Edition, No. 38, is built on the Jeep Gladiator pickup design. Though obvious refinements from its factory roots are visible, the fuel-injected 3.6L V-6 engine retains its like-new OEM décor in this instance. Also intact is the associated 8-speed automatic transmission. Where things begin to shift is underneath, on the 4-wheel drive, heavy-duty Dana 44 front and rear axles, featuring 4.10 ratio gearing.
Anti-Spin differentials and a professionally installed, upgraded suspension lift design now work with the factory stability control and electronic roll mitigation for handling. Among its exterior changes, this Bandit retains the factory removable hardtop and fold-down windshield but now features special gold hood graphics and grille inserts, deep-tinted windows, custom side steps, and a Class IV receiver hitch. The interior is entirely modern, with front bucket seats and a center console. There are power windows, power heated mirrors, heated front seats, air conditioning and a tilt and telescoping steering column for the heated steering wheel equipped with touch controls.
The 8-speaker audio system connects to the big UConnect 7-inch touch screen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, there is a media hub with two USB ports and voice command, and a Z Automotive Tazer JL Mini corrects the speedometer.
