From long term ownership, this low-mileage, Liquid Silver, final generation XK soft top is offered without Reserve. The second and final generation of the XK (X150) debuted in 2005 at the Frankfurt Motor Show. Styled by Jaguar's chief designer Ian Callum, the grille was designed as a nod to the E-Type. The car was the first to feature bonded and riveted aluminium chassis and body panels and was 91kg lighter than its predecessor. Powered by the ubiquitous 4.2-litre, 32v, V8 offering 300bhp at 6,000rpm and 0-60 in 5.9 seconds, the XK is a serious motor car. This example is finished in Liquid Silver over an Ivory and Oatmeal leather interior.
First UK-registered on 29/11/2006 and purchased by our vendor on 17/08/2012. The car is supplied with an extensive service history and numerous MOTs to support the current indicated mileage of 51,980. Having been unused for some time, our vendors attempts to unlock the car with a completely flat battery were in vain and consequently the interior had become damp. Now unlocked and being professionally cleaned prior to being presented to sale. It will however require some recommissioning prior to use, although being offered without Reserve presents a wonderful opportunity to add value and return this elegant Jaguar to top form.
