This attractive, late-production, 4.0-litre XJS boasts an impressive 30 year ownership history and is offered without reserve. This good-looking example of Jaguar’s long-running XJS dates from 1995 and the later 4.0-litre models (particularly those from 1994–1996) represent the car’s final, most reliable evolution. Finished in Diamond Blue over a tidy Saville Grey leather interior, the odometer at the time of cataloguing read 118,098 miles. Powered by the naturally-aspirated, AJ16 4.0-litre straight-six, delivering 238bhp to the rear wheels through a 4-speed ZF automatic gearbox.
Acquired by our vendor when the car was a only a few months old, it has been his companion on many European road trips and pressed into daily service when required. Accompanying this XJS is it’s original service book showing evidence of an incredible 25 services. We are informed meticulous records have been kept of its history and maintenance. Perhaps to be expected with any exceptionally well-maintained vehicle and not something we would usually highlight, the online MOT records show just two 'advisories' since 2007.
