The Jaguar S-Type was first introduced in 1963 and was effectively a redeveloped version of the MKII. As the two cars were produced alongside one another, the S-Type was differentiated by its minor stylistic design changes, longer rear overhangs and a more sophisticated independent rear suspension from the MKX.
This 1966 S-Type 3.8 Saloon is presented in very good order and is finished in a desirable colour combination of gold with red leather interior. The car is in very good condition inside and out and was purchased by the vendor from our MPH auction in 2019. Following this the vendor spent £6,281 on recommissioning the vehicle with Jaguar specialists Twyford Motors in Clanfield, Hampshire. In the current ownership the Jaguar has only been driven some 900 miles. The car was originally bought as a present for his wife who sadly can no longer drive. This example is offered in a rare manual overdrive configuration and is a fantastic opportunity to acquire a sound and usable classic Jaguar.
