The S600 was available as a coupe or convertible, and it was the first time Honda would offer two trim levels: Standard and the uprated SM600. The SM600 offered a host of additional items, such as a radio and speaker, exclusive colors, unique badging, reverse lights, a heater, more supportive seats and a detachable passenger-seat track for easy removal. The S600 was powered by a 606cc/57 HP DOHC inline 4-cylinder engine with four Keihin carburetors. A roller chain drove the rear wheels. Weighing only about 1,600 pounds and sprung on a fully-independent suspension, the S600 was a capable handler and could top out around 90 MPH. To boot, it could return about 45 MPG.
This particular S600 is presented in bright red with a black interior and rides on silver-painted steel wheels with chrome hubcaps adorned with red centers. Highly detailed, the car looks like it drove right out of the sales brochure.
