Southern Comfort and MCM Custom Vehicles are in the business of building Black Widows. What began life as a GMC Sierra Z71 pickup truck, now has that much more style and performance in a package that can still haul. The Black Widow series from MCM is meant to be dark and even a little dangerous, and as such, the custom-designed and built truck combines the best of the American production pickup with carefully selected aftermarket upgrades for a Black Widow that lives up to its name. This sinister black GMC Sierra from MCM Custom Vehicles has traveled just 3,000 miles since its transformation.
Lurking under an MCM Custom Vehicles exclusive hood scoop with mesh vents is an already stout aluminum-block 5.3L V-8 which was given the Lingenfelter TVS treatment. A Magnuson Supercharger setup delivers a 125-horsepower increase over stock performance for 475 horsepower on tap. The suspension underwent a Fabtech 6-inch lift and was equipped with 20-inch Mickey Thompson black-finish wheels with 35×12.50-inch BF Goodrich All-Terrain T/A tires and Black Widow center caps. A black 4-inch bull bar with integrated skid plate and 4-inch nerf bars stand ready to conquer all obstacles.
The pickup truck was restyled with pocket-style fender flares to accommodate the larger wheel and tire package and a front LED light bar for compact yet powerful night vision. The darkness of black is punctuated by Black Widow badging and red-painted brake calipers. The Black Widow theme continues up inside the cabin with Black Widow logo red-faced gauges, custom-painted interior component parts and Black Widow-logo headrest covers. Tinted windows keep things cool inside and out and a custom-fabricated dual exhaust with blacked-out twin tips provides a soundtrack of supercharged V-8 power to match the sinister style.
