This 1989 GMC Jimmy Resto-Mod underwent a full frame-off restoration, which started with ¾ axles, consisting of a 14-bolt rear axle and a 10-bolt front axle with crossover steering. It received a full disc brake conversion and a full ORD suspension was installed, including custom leaf springs, a traction bar, steering box frame brace, new steering box and Fox 2.0 shocks. The wheelbase was extended to 1.5 inches, with a total suspension lift of 5 inches. New stainless-steel brake lines, a custom 38-gallon stainless-steel fuel tank and a custom K5 Squared exhaust with a 4-inch tail pipe were also added.

This Jimmy is powered by an L86 6.2-liter Gen V LT engine mated to a 10L80 10-speed transmission and an NP-241C transfer case. It produces roughly 500hp and is rolling on 35-inch Nitto Dune Grappler tires. An upgraded factory air conditioning system, dual batteries, a 150 amp alternator, a custom intake, a 4-row custom aluminum radiator with dual electric fans and a custom steering shaft rag joint eliminator were installed. The black exterior paint is finished off with custom LED headlights and taillights, daytime running lights and AMP Research PowerSteps. The power windows and locks are complete with K5 Squared full power window kits and keyless entry with remote start was added.

It received interior updates, including all-new black carpet, Denali leather seats and a Denali console, a custom dash, door panels, rear panels, a rear headliner and stereo installation. A receiver trailer hitch was also installed, and the dashboard includes a Dakota Digital cluster. This Resto-Mod also received three layers of sound deadener, which is needed for the Alpine Halo 9 touchscreen head unit, complete with a backup camera, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The head unit is connected via Silver Serpent RCA cables to the sound system, which consists of Focal K2-series 3-way speakers in the front and Focal K2 coaxial speakers in the rear, both powered by an audio control D6.1200 unit with integrated DSP, along with a JL Audio TW5 13.5-inch subwoofer and a JL Audio HD 1200/1 amp.
