On August 18, 2000, Ford presented a very special limited edition of the new 11th Generation Thunderbird to the public at the Pebble Beach Concours, the Neiman Marcus Edition. This edition is Evening Black with a Satin Silver metallic top. The interior is black with silver accents including the seat inserts. Only the Neiman Marcus Edition has the Thunderbird logo on the seat backs as well as the porthole windows on the removable top. The unique floor mats and instrument panel have the Neiman Marcus logo. The hood scoop has a chrome bezel. Wheels are a special chromed version of the deluxe 21-spoke wheel.

This limited edition model was made available on September 25, 2000 through the Neiman Marcus Christmas catalog and all 200 were sold out in 47minutes, a record for any auto ever sold thru the Neiman Marcus catalog. These are the only Neiman-Marcus editions made and sold.
