With its OHV 390-cid V-8, this 1961 Ford Thunderbird convertible presents the development of the personal luxury car in a four-seater. Cruise-O-Matic transmission is part of the standard equipment. This Thunderbird has wire wheel covers with wide whitewall tires, and an array of power equipment that includes brakes, seats, windows and the top. The superb aquamarine paint is complemented by the white interior. Ford added to the luxury with 12 more pounds of padding for the bucket seats, and doors widened to 51 inches. This Thunderbird is reported as a great car to drive or show, with top up or down.
