Jack Roush’s famed NASCAR collaboration with Ford Motor Company inspired the 2007 Roush 427R Mustang, a limited-production elevation of the Roush Stage 3 package named for the 427 HP output of its supercharged 4.6L SOHC 3-valve V-8 engine, which also drove 391 lb-ft of torque through a 5-speed manual transmission. Typical of his legendary thorough preparation, Jack Roush used to stay in a motorcoach at the races, behind which he towed a trailer containing a four-door Ford Fusion and one of his Roush Performance Mustangs. Roush Serial No. 07-233, this 2007 Roush 427R is among the Roush Performance Mustangs Jack Roush used during his NASCAR campaigns.
Classically turned out in Grabber Orange with black over-the-top stripes, Roush rear window louvers and 427R hockey-stick graphics, the car rides on 18-inch Roush Performance wheels wearing 275/40ZR18 Cooper Zeon 2XS tires. The Roush treatment percolates throughout the 427R. The black bucket seat interior features contrasting orange stitching and embroidered Jack Roush signatures on the seatbacks, Roush gauges, pedals and a short-throw shifter.
