Furthermore, driven to victory by Carl Edwards at the 2011 O’Reilly Auto Parts 300 at Texas Motor Speedway, this historic race win marked only the second-ever NASCAR win for a Mustang since the legendary Bobby Allison’s 1971 victory at Bowman Gray Stadium in North Carolina. All the right stuff is here, including a Roush Yates 358 CI Ford V-8 engine, the 4-speed manual transmission, MSD ignition, the competition roll cage structure and a fire suppression system.
The car bears the sponsorship markings of Fastenal, Edwards’ faux signature over the doors and the iconic Mustang model identification. Inside is a ButlerBuilt Professional Seat Systems racing seat, Safety Solutions racing harness, column-mounted Spek-Pro tachometer, AutoMeter gauges and a race dash layout. Meanwhile, 4-wheel Brembo disc brakes with slotted rotors slow it down, and 15-inch black race wheels and Goodyear Eagle radial race tires are here as well.
