This 1977 Mustang II Mach 1 hatchback has 19,820 actual miles. It was originally built in San Jose, CA, and sold new in Los Angles, where it remained with the original owner until 2014, when it was purchased by the second owner and brought to Arizona. The car still has most of its original paint, with the exception of the left fender, door and quarter-panel, which received new paint in the '90s due to the car being keyed down that side.

After the car was purchased by the second owner, the car received a complete new powertrain to include a fully built 5.0-liter 8-cylinder roller engine with all-new forged internals, aluminum heads, aluminum intake, E303 cam, COMP roller rockers, Holley 1850 carburetor and an MSD distributor. The exhaust runs through a set of Headman headers into a custom 3-inch single Flowmaster muffler with dual outlets and stainless-steel tips. The transmission is a fully built C4 automatic with red band clutches, Winters reverse manual valve body, deep-dish aluminum pan and a B&M 2600 rpm stall converter. The differential has 3.54 gears with a mini spool locker and Currie axles.

The suspension has been rebuilt with new 2-inch drop axles in the front and de-arched springs in the back. The interior is nearly all original, the exceptions being the carpet and front seats covers, which have been replaced. The car sits on a set of Centerline Drag Lite wheels with Mickey Thompson 15x10.50 street slicks in the back with 15x5 narrow runners up front.
