Ford’s legendary GT40 has become a popular template for street-driven replicas, a fine example of which is presented in this beautifully-rendered GT40 Mark 1 replica that is one of two built by GT40 North America in 2004. An updated evolution of the original design, it is packed with new technology and materials, most importantly a custom blueprinted Ford Racing 351 CI Windsor engine with a stroker crank, aluminum heads and electronic fuel injection, mated to an R21 5-speed gearbox. The refined racing-style cockpit includes air conditioning, XM radio with CD player and well-bolstered lightweight seats with Simpson harnesses.
