As the overall GT-class victor at the 2016 running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, precisely 50 years after Ford’s historic victory over Ferrari there, the road-going Ford GT debuted at the January 2015 North American Auto Show in Detroit and made its European introduction in 2017 at Frankfurt with a victorious international racing pedigree already in place. Active multimode suspension and 4-wheel Brembo carbon ceramic disc brakes with blue calipers round out the GT’s mechanical specifications. Electrifying performance includes 0-60 MPH acceleration in 3.0 seconds and a factory-rated 216 MPH top end.
A stunning array of glossy carbon fiber is found throughout the car, with the interior featuring the optional Re-Entry treatment, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, six-point racing harness anchors and electronic instrumentation, as well as a digital touch-screen display including Ford’s SYNC infotainment and communications system.
