FORD GALAXIE XL, 1965

This Galaxie 500XL features a Z-code 390/300hp FE series V8 with 4-speed Toploader manual transmission. The engine was updated with Offenhauser 360' aluminum intake, Edelbrock Performer 600CFM 4-barrel carburetor, dual Flowmaster exhaust and Pertronix electronic ignition. The Toploader 4-speed has the correct identification tag. The Hurst shifter was designed for a stock console, and it has power steering. It features a Ford 9' rear end, factory 4-wheel drums, like-new at all four corners, and four new KYB shock absorbers. It's had one refinish in what appears to be a factory maroon color. The body is straight, and the trim and glass are all good.

It rides on brand-new American Racing Torq Thrust 5-spoke wheels, 15X7' front, 15X8' rear. The front tires still have nubs and the rears are like new; they give it that period look. This original West Coast car runs excellent.
