An older restoration with performance upgrades, an excellent opportunity to purchase a useable 1990s 'Blue Oval' icon for a sensible outlay.
The RS Turbo was the high performance model in the Ford Fiesta Mk3 range and was introduced as a three-door version only in April 1990. Powered by a 132bhp, CVH 1.6-litre, four-cylinder with a Garrett T2 turbocharger offering 0-60mph in 7.3 seconds and 130mph. The transmission was lifted from an Escort RS Turbo and the suspension was developed to cope with the higher cornering speeds. The owner prior to our vendor confirmed that the car had been restored and repainted prior to his purchase. He purchased it as unfinished project. The engine was refreshed and upgrades include a T3 turbo and larger intercooler, larger injectors, Roose Motorsports boost hoses, Superchip.
Some parts powder-coated, wheels refurbed, new tyres, new discs and pads, cambelt and water pump. The interior has also been refreshed with sourced original parts including the digital clock and an original grey Turbo steering wheel. We understand that the older history and paperwork have been lost. This represents an excellent opportunity to purchase a useable 1990s 'Blue Oval' icon for a sensible outlay.
