Launched in 1994, the F355 effectively re-established the reputation of Ferrari's V8, which had suffered since the introduction of the Mondial 'world car', a model considered far too sensible to be a 'proper' Ferrari. The F355, though, was cast in the mould of that great driver's car: the Dino 246 GT. Just how great an advance it was may be gauged from the fact that its best time around Ferrari's Fiorano test track was three seconds quicker than the formidable 512 TR supercar's.
Originally delivered to Kentucky, USA, this beautiful F355 Spider has the manual gearbox preferred by the majority of enthusiasts. Used sparingly, it has had only three owners from new and currently displays a total of only 13,000 miles (approximately 20,900 kilometres) on the odometer. Service records indicate that the car has been maintained by reputable Ferrari specialists Lake Forest Sports Cars in Chicago among other main agents and specialists. Since importation into the UK from the USA in early 2018, the car has been serviced by Meridian Modena, who found no major work necessary and remarked that it was one of the cleanest examples they had seen.
Described by the vendor as in immaculate condition throughout, this totally standard and unmolested example of the ultimate-specification F355 is worthy of the closest inspection.
