The successor to the F12 Berlinetta at the March 2017 Geneva Motor Show, the new 812 Superfast helped commemorate Ferrari’s landmark 70th anniversary of operation. The most powerful and fastest Ferrari road model at launch, the 812 Superfast features a 6.5L V-12 powerplant developing 789 HP and 530 lb-ft of torque, matched to a lightning-quick, F1-derived, 7-speed, dual-clutch automatic transmission. Delivering electrifying all-around performance, the 812 Superfast was, and remains, more than worthy of its legendary name, evoking rich images of Ferrari’s fast and beautifully styled elite V-12 grand tourers of the late 1950s and early ‘60s.
Heightening the concept, the 812 GTS debuted in 2022 with a power-retractable hardtop body design providing an amazing open-air experience on command. Offered with just 68 miles, this 2022 Ferrari 812 GTS is simply striking in its Nero (black) paint finish and body-color power retractable hardtop, accented by a carbon fiber front-bumper insert and, of course, Ferrari’s iconic Scuderia front-fender shields. Performance is predictably massive, beginning with the 6.5L/785 HP V-12 engine, HELE (High Emotion Low Emissions) system and 7-speed, F1, dual-clutch automatic transmission.
GTS-specific upgrades include competition-derived carbon ceramic CCM4 brakes with red brake calipers, black 20-inch wheels and a visually stunning Rosso (red) leather interior. A Manettino steering wheel greets the driver with selectable driving-mode controls, and accents include the legendary Ferrari “Cavallino Rampante” motif, stitched on the headrests, plus leather upholstery to the seatback rests and colored seat belts. The technically advanced, carbon fiber driver zone includes LED lighting, a central bridge and dashboard inserts.
All-season comfort is assured with dual-zone climate control, and in addition to the fabulous-sounding V-12 engine, entertainment is heightened by an Infotelematic digital audio system including SiriusXM satellite-radio capability. Driving dynamics are simply phenomenal, with this 812 GTS featuring FrS SCM magnetorheological dampers and Ferrari’s Virtual Short Wheelbase PCV 2.0, Side Slip Angle Control SSC 5.0 and E-Differential 3 systems. Amazing usability in all-around driving situations is afforded by a suspension lifter, front and rear parking sensors, front radar with ACC rear radar, adaptive LED headlights + SBL, and the added safety of tire pressure and temperature monitoring.
