The Ferrari 612 Scaglietti succeeded the 456M in 2004 with a larger aluminum chassis and body for a true four-place, two-door grand tourer that followed V-12 front-engined 2+2 tradition without adding unthinkable extra doors to a car from Maranello. The engine is backed by an evolved F1A 6-speed electrohydraulic automated gearbox with steering-wheel-mounted paddle-shift controls for lightning fast gear changes in either manual or automatic mode. Fully independent grand-touring-tuned suspension works with 4-wheel disc brakes with yellow-painted calipers for power-matched road control. The 612 Scaglietti can launch from 0-62 MPH in just 4 seconds on its way to a 199 MPH top speed.
The sleek aluminum body incorporates specially designed hinges that allow the doors to open wider for improved access to the beige leather interior. The spacious experience is enhanced by a panoramic electrochromic roof with three tint settings that brings an open-top feel to the four-place cabin.
