Few cars of any make or vintage match this 1993 Ferrari 512 TR for sheer, stunning beauty, and its low odometer reading of 8,468 miles and Ferrari Classiche certification make it even more attractive. Ferrari rolled out this new version of the highly successful Testarossa in 1992, and while exterior differences were mostly subtle, the transformation in performance was anything but. Ferrari’s engine wizards cranked up the power on the Testarossa’s all-aluminum flat-12 engine from 380 HP to a full 421 HP. A stiffer chassis, lighter suspension and wider wheels and tires improved handling.
The work paid off with a drop in 0-60 times from 5.2 seconds to a dazzling 4.7, a top speed of 192 MPH and peak grip jumping from .87 g to .94 g. A look at the production figures attests to this car’s extraordinary rarity. Ferrari built a total of 2,280 512 TRs for the world market from 1992 to 1994; of that number, only 378 came to the United States in those three years. Of those, only 90 were delivered in the 1993 model year, and this example is certainly one of the finest extant today. Delivered new at Wide World of Cars in Spring Valley, New York, it remains in spectacular condition throughout, its Giallo (Fly Yellow) paint and Black leather interior virtually flawless.
Classiche certified and offered with books, tools, service receipts and a clean Carfax, this car received an all-important belt service in December 2014 at 8,454 miles and has been driven just 14 miles since.
