Summing up a sports car lifestyle, this 2006 Dodge Viper SRT/10 custom convertible might be toward the top of the list. Chrysler's Street and Racing Technology Group (SRT) gave the Halo Car Viper a complete redesign for the third generation. This ultra-high-performance Viper SRT/10 was heavily restyled with sharp, angled bodywork that combined voluptuous front and rear fenders covering enormous factory alloy wheels, 18-inch in the front and 19-inch in the rear, with top-of-the-line Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 performance radial tires. A deeply scalloped fender air extractor, wraparound taillights and rear spoiler add to the dramatic look of the much-improved vehicle.

The improved V10 engine was enlarged to 8.3-liter 505ci engine and pumps out 500hp. A strengthened TREMEC T56 6-speed manual transmission handles the 525 ft/lbs of torque. The chassis was much improved over the previous Viper, featuring improved rigidity and an 80-pound weight reduction. SRT finally relented and added 4-wheel, anti-lock disc brakes and a Viscous limited-slip differential. These performance improvements allow the driver to fully explore the performance envelope of this ultra-high-performance machine all the way to its top speed of over 190 mph.

Changes that make the Viper more user friendly include an easy to unlatch and stow canvas top with a heated glass rear window, power windows and effective cold air conditioning eliminate the flimsy original-generation erector-set top and side curtains. Power adjustable control pedals, mirrors, key fob with remote keyless entry, red stop/start button, leather and suede Sport bucket seats with lumbar support, and front fog/driving lights make this third-generation SRT/10 'Halo Car' faster, more comfortable and easier to live with.

The original owner of this 2006 Viper wanted a unique, stand-alone vehicle and began with professionally applied, high-dollar, complete custom White Pearl paint, and then powder-coated the factory alloy wheels in contrasting semi-gloss black. Finally, an equally impressive, and expensive, Alpine sound system was added, complete with color backup camera for easier maneuvering. Bigger amps and subwoofer, along with a huge speaker in the passenger footwell, rattle the windows, even at high speed. Fortunately, this speaker can be easily removed for a passenger.

The remote key fob and key are attached to a Viper keychain; an original dealership sales brochure and Viper books and manuals are also included. This 2006 Viper comes with a clean CARFAX; the original MSRP was $83,145. TITLE IN TRANSIT
