While the original Dodge Challenger enjoys a well-earned reputation as a legendary Mopar muscle car, there is no doubt that examples such as this handsome and athletic-looking 1971 convertible show a decidedly elegant character more in keeping with the Grand Touring tradition. That doesn’t mean the muscle is missing; under the hood is Chrysler’s 383 CI Magnum V-8, a high-torque big block mated to a Torqueflite 3-speed automatic transmission and teamed with power steering and brakes for performance befitting this muscle-era convertible.
Excellent Tan Metallic paint is complemented with a matching Tan interior featuring leather bucket seats, center console with Slap-Stick shifter, woodgrain steering wheel, fuel, temperature and alternator gauges, AM/FM radio and air conditioning.
