The 1970 Nova was basically a carryover from 1969. The side marker and taillight lenses for the 1970 Nova were wider and positioned slightly differently. This was the final year for the SS 396. All other engines were carried over including the seldom-ordered four-cylinder which was in its final year. The car finally became simply the Chevrolet Nova this year after two years of transitional nameplates. Out of 254,242 Novas sold for 1970, 19,558 were the SS 350 or SS 396 version. Approximately 177 Central Office Production Order (COPO) Novas were ordered, with 175 converted by Yenko Chevrolet. The other two were sold in Canada.

Being offered is this “real” Super Sport Nova that is well-documented and runs with its correct drivetrain. The fresh restoration that this car displays is documented with photos. It is finished in gorgeous factory Cranberry Red that shows as straight and smooth. The bucket seat interior is new and presented in black and also features a center console with the special instrumentation gauge package, plus in-dash tachometer and clock. The Nova is powered by a 350-cid, 300-hp V-8 engine that is mated to a Muncie four-speed manual transmission with a 12-bolt Posi-traction rear end and runs with 3.31:1 gearing.

This two-owner Super Sport is reported to have a marvelous exhaust note, and it also has an AM radio, power brakes with front discs, all new trim and new rubber seals. Additionally the Nova has its factory Protect-O-Plate and the finance papers from the first owner and accompanies this primarily stock Nova that is ready to enjoy.
