In 1958, Cadillac’s Sixty Special saw extensive design changes and mechanical upgrades, all of which are displayed on this stunning example. With help from a 4-barrel carburetor, the 365 CI V-8 engine now produced 310 HP, which was quite an essential for a car that weighed in at nearly 5,000 pounds. Another feature of this motor was the addition of hydraulic lifters, which meant less maintenance for the owner. An automatic transmission, power steering, brakes and windows, as well as factory air conditioning and defrost, demonstrate Cadillac’s promise to providing comfort no matter what the weather called for.
